State of the Writing: March 2017

I’ll start out with the bad news. Into the Void, which was originally scheduled for release in mid-May, will likely be delayed. At this point I don’t know a hard and fast release date. I’ve been told possibly later in the summer or perhaps fall. Once I know more I’ll be happy to pass it along.

The reasons are above my pay grade. I came into publishing knowing that there are many pieces to the puzzle when it comes to this business, so I’ve always known this could happen. The good news is that the book is in great shape otherwise, so once things the pipeline work themselves out, Into the Void will be soon to follow.

“But I don’t want to wait!” you might say.

You and me both! As relatively smoothly as Edge of Oblivion‘s launch was, sometimes these things just happen.

Other than that, everything else is going well. Book 3 just went to the publisher a few days ago. Short story 3 is in progress. My next project, a science fiction novel set in a different universe, is moving along nicely. And I’ll likely have a non-fiction eBook published in the next few months or so. (I’ve also been busy writing about Nintendo Switch on Nintendojo and about being the only guy in my family over at Mumbling Mommy, to say nothing of the flow of pieces over at Aldi Reviewer.)

So patience, I think, will be the state of things here in the immediate future. 🙂
