State of the Writing: March 2018

Last month, Into the Void released for paperback and Kindle. It was a busy month, with launch parties, giveaways, and much merriment. It’s been a blast talking to people about the novel, especially the launch team that helped me push it out the door.

If you’ve had a chance to read Into the Void, I hope you found it a good deal of fun. (I’ll always take reviews over at Amazon or Goodreads if you have a spare moment.)

What’s next? The answer: some big things, and soon.

Let’s start with the biggest news first: the title forĀ Book 3 in the Chronicles of Sarco series is titledĀ Through Chaos, and it is currently scheduled for release in … November. That’s right. As in, this November. 2018. Plans can obviously change — I know that as well as anybody — but right now I’d say odds are good. Good enough, in fact, that my editor is already at work on the book, with edits due back to the publisher by mid-April.

In that spirit, I’ve got another short story cooked up: it’s called The Seas of Aeroel, and it will reprise the characters from The Domes of Aeroel and The Shadows of Aeroel for a final adventure that helps connect some dots between Into the Void and Through Chaos. I’ve got it slated to release this summer, tentatively in June. You can get it — and the rest of my short stories — via my mailing list.

I’ll have a lot more to say about both of these in the months to come, including requisite links once I’ve got them.

Stay tuned!
