Earlier this summer, I wrote a short story for a flash-fiction magazine. The story is entitled “Polly Shoots Laser Beams,” and it weighs in at about 900 words — a five minute read.
The story was not among those chosen by the magazine. Since then, I’ve deliberated on what to do with it. Some authors keep a portfolio of short stories that they shop around to various anthologies. I’ve decided not to take that route in this particular case — instead, I’ve decided to post the story on my website. It’s free, and there are no strings attached.
So, without further ado … here it is.
